Beauty On a Budget: Flirty but classy for valentines day

So i was doing a bit of personal shopping for a friend, and soon noticed the bargains currently available on women's clothing on Asos. Surely it would be selfish of me not to share a few. Also, valentines day is round the corner *whoop whoop*, i know we all wanna look our best. ALL these looks are £10 and under!

Lets get into it..

Look Number 1: Midi Cami Dress with Mesh Inserts (£7)

This dress is so simple yet beautiful; it will hug your figure in the right places, whilst loosely holding the bits you might wanna hide. I like how it's not too tight or loose. Its JUST right. If your'e going out on a dinner date, you don't need to worry about that food baby popping out. Which is always a plus lol. I love the subtle cleavage produced via the scooping neck line. You wanna give 'em some, but not all ;) I recommend this for curvy girls, with extra fluff here and there.

Look Number 2: Mesh Insert Bandeau Midi Dress (£10)

If you would like to show a little more skin, especially around the mid section, this dress is for you. I recommend this for the girls with more toned/ athletic builds. You can show off your best bits,  whilst staying lady like. Pair up with a bright single toned clutch and heels to match and you are good to go.

Look 3: Bandeau Skater Dress (£10)

This look is for the young/ young at heart. If you have a slim frame, this look is best for you. It adds femininity to a boyish frame, due to the illusion of curves created from the flaring of the dress at the bottom. I love the nude colour, its soft and adorable. With this look dual or heavy accessorising is not advised. Its either you go with classy droopy earrings or a thin necklace. If you would really love to wear both, then studded earrings and a necklace would do. One or two rings on the same finger would also work well, NOT multiple.

Look 4:Jersey Cross Front Halter Maxi Dress (£8)

You can tell i'm really loving the nudes right. lol. This look is perfect for both short and tall girls. It works on tall girls because, the dress will fall nicely on the body. And on short girls because it'll probably be longer than them adding extra cuteness. In both scenarios, I recommend platform heels. Be careful not to trip over your dress ladies!

Look 5: Midi Pencil Skirt with Lace Insert (£8)

Yup, just how the model styles it is perfect. With a nude skirt, you wanna keep the rest of the look quite clean and neutral. Makeup must also be simple; with bold lips. I recommend matching lip colour to nail colour, really makes your look appear as though more effort has been put into it.

These were just a few of my favourites. For more guys go to:  http://www.asos.com/women/sale/dresses/cat/pgecategory.aspx?cid=5235&wt.ac=ww%7cnav%7csaledress&via=top

The problem with extremists.

The problem with extremists is they love to talk the talk, but unfortunately cannot always walk the walk.

A very common example: black feminists (the extreme ones); they will scream the whole world down about skin bleaching, modern day colorism, and body discriminations BUT soon as someone challenges them about relaxing their hair it's 'nope it's not the same, my hair does not define my blackness'. Well well well. Does that not contradict everything you have been fighting for.

These are double standards aka making up the rules as I go along. Because you don't bleach, you say bleaching is self hate. Because you do not wear weave, you say natural hair is the only way. Because you do not wear make up; everyone who does is insecure and needs to love themselves more.

And this is why I hate these labels. There is ALWAYS a loophole.

As humans we are a paradox, whether we like it or not. Even the planet earth we were placed on is in a position which is neither too hot nor cold. It's position from the sun, is just right to sustain the survival of the human race.

Yet here you are; claiming to only accept one form of something, remaining adamant to trying anything other than. Can we just allow ourselves to be free. Of Course we are entitled to our own opinion; but your way is not the only way my dear.

We can incorporate the best of both to achieve something wonderful on a whole. You can be independent yet vulnerable. You can love wholeheartedly but still be able to discipline. You can 'Tunup' but also 'tun down'. A little off topic but I think you get my point.

Can we get rid of these labels. No one is truly an extremist; these roles are just forced.

In other words what you believe in isn't the problem, the problem comes when you make these rules which restrict not only your expression but the expression of others who do not believe in it. Because someone does not believe in your morals, does not mean they are wrong.

What's trending ? Sadly.. Deaths. | Shooting at Chris Brown Concert|Boko Haram Massacre| Paris Attack.

The new year has only just begun. Due to exam commitments I was away from social media for the first three weeks of January but news still got to me. I thought perhaps things would calm down now, instead it just keeps going.

17 people lost their lives during a terrorist raid in Paris, on the 9th of January. A few terrorists were involved such as Yohan Cohen and Yoav Hattab as reported by CNN, to name a few. They all abducted their victims in small groups and murdered them.

2000 people were massacred by terrorist group 'Boko Haram' in Nigeria. After the abdunction of the 200 young girls from their school late 2014; the terrorist group released a video vowing they would continue to attack until Nigeria succumbs to Islam and all of its premises. They didn't waste anytime living up to that vow in 2015, as the attack took place on January 12.
This saddens my heart as political disputes in both France and Paris have resulted in the loss of innocent civilian's lives.

In the U.S., specifically ... A shooting went on at a Chris Brown concert leaving 5 critically injured. A fight broke out which initially was not taken serious. Even Chris Brown jokingly said 'them niggas is gettin it in over there', his frown quickly turned upside down when he heard the first gunshot. He was quickly evacuated from the building leaving his fans to run for their lives. Chris was criticised for running a low budget concert with no security; however he was just trying to do something nice for his local fans. This was turned into something else. Here's a video clip of the events:

There have been more deaths which haven't exactly made the news and it saddens my heart. My prayer is that God protects and sustains us; so we can fulfil that which he has placed us on this earth for. Untimely death is not our portion. I also pray for our families, even in their vulnerabilities that God guides them, places his angels around them, till they are safe at home. Every evil planned for us in this new year shall be nullified in Jesus name. AMEN.

Real Scoop with Showa Shins👀

Image from: 'You Good' Video.
The Real Scoop with.. Showa Shins
You may know him as Mr ogede or bo shokoto, and now Mr 'Sarewole'. Here's one half the masterminds behind these hit tracks.

Hi Mr Showa Shins, thank you for joining me today !

Thank you for having me; you good?

I'm good.. oh yeah you did that on stage just now, i see what you did there, love it !

Thank you, thank you

So lets get into it... How would you describe your sound?

Hmm I'd say my sound is definitely Afrobeats mixed with a bit of R'n'B

So I heard about a 'Libra' project; can you tell us a little bit about that?

That's my new project called 'Sound of the Libra'; its a collaborative mix-tape / EP with myself and some other artists..

How's that going so far?

We've finished the project, now its just for promotion, shooting videos etc..

What kind of promotion have you done so far?

At the moment, we are looking for a distribution deal, we've used twitter, and we are also looking to record a 'day in the life of'' video

That would be nice.. So I know you've worked with Mista Silva and Star Boy wills.. whats your relationship like with them?

Well Starboy Wills is basically the other half of me, been working with him for a long time.

Showa Shins & Starboy Wills

Mr Silva and I are cool, I remember I hollered at him a day before our ogede video, he came in; laid down a couple bars in studio. It was literally so quick.

Mr Silva.

That's cool. So are you doing any future collabs with them, or moving on to other artists?

Yeah I did a feature with Sona, and a new kid called Sk.

Ah, aren't they from the same label?

Well, they're actually cousins

So how will the features with Sona work, as unfortunately we know his situation..

Oh we've already recorded it, we're just contemplating on whether we are gonna do the videos

Really quickly, when did you realise you wanted to do music?

I'd say when I was in college; so three-four years ago, that's where i met Starboy Wills..and I've loved it so far. Also, I've only recently started doing things properly as I've just finished university.

Fabulous, thank you so much for coming through; any shout-outs?

Follow me on twitter +Showa Shins (@showashins); You Good Now out, the video is on YouTube. Thank you! Sound of the Libra is out on the 15th of February.

Watch You good here:

#AskChunkaay 'He's not ready for us'

#DearChunkaay
"I've been with him for about 4/5 months now; we've been intimate and I've met his parents however I'm still not his girlfriend.. What should I do?"-anonymous
Firstly, I suggest you talk to him about how you feel. Perhaps he wants to take things slow. However it seems like a few steps have been taken too fast. Meeting the parents is a biggie so I understand why you would feel like this. If you received confused responses I need you to read this next line well...
Indecisiveness is a decision. If he is unsure about your future, chances are there is no future for you two. Men are like hunters who go for what they truly want. You may be nice to hang out with, and fulfil all his requirements in a partner; even then there might be something missing. I urge you to release yourself from this situation before you get too attached. A prestige babe never waits for any man to decide why she's good enough for him. There are many guys out there who don't think twice; they already know your worth.
Yours Sincerly,
Chunks x

Alive or dead? | Controversy over Muna Obiekwe's current state.

Shocking news surfaced on 18th January  around 7pm on the Internet. Nollywood actor Muna was proclaimed to have died of kidney failure. Known for his many lead roles in movies, the talented actor's death caused heartache for his fans. Death time was 4:15am. His family was said to post this picture of them to prove his status.

However rumors surfaced that it was all a hoax. He is 'alive and well'. Tweets from his Twitter account caused even more confusion..
After delving further I found some more tweets suggesting his Twitter account was actually hacked.

If truly someone hacked his account.. I can't begin to describe the level of disrespect that person has reached. In these hard times I hope people can respect his family and Muna himself as the deceased (as far as we know).

Any further news will be reported on here. Thank you for reading.
