What's Trending? Pier's Morgan fights for the right for white women to say the N-Word?

Piers Morgan, a media personality, most famously known for his presenting roles as well as his role as a judge on various seasons of the hit TV series X-Factor.

It all started when a snapchat video of a sorority sister group from the University of North Hampshire, emerged. They were vybing to the 2005 hit song 'Gold digger' by Kanye West, and belted out the line 'I ain't saying she's a gold digger; but she ain't messing with no broke 'N****r'. This caused a mini uproar and Pier's decided to address the issue in a Daily Mail article of his own. 

His main points were if Black people can write songs using the N-word, white people should be allowed to sing it. 

Whilst this is a true argument - the million dollar question remains.. why do white people want to say the N-word so bad? Why should or do they feel comfortable saying it? 

The history attached to the word is well known. It was a derogatory term used to insult person's of African, Carribean and African-American descent. Although black people have reclaimed the word, and it is now a sign of power and brotherhood; white people do not get to decided whether or not they should still be using it in conversation. Because of its history, white people are not permitted and neither do they have a say in such issues as it has nothing to do with them.

What's Trending? Kevin Hart's Extortionist - The story so far..

This past week there's been a lot going on in the world of celebrity, yelebrity and in our world of today. 

First of all, some celebrity news. 

Kevin Hart's name has been rubbed in the mud over the last week or so due to multiple sources of information, including himself, confirming he had stepped out and cheated on his 7-moth pregnant wife, Eniko Hart. 

It all began with an instagram post; Kevin seemed to be apologising in advance for letting his wife and kids down. It was all a bit confusing until news broke out that he had a side piece, whom was threatening to come out to the world unless Kevin gives her 40 million dollars, which he obviously was not ready to fork out - instead he decided to risk it all and tell the world before she did. 

In the instagram post, he stated "Its like recently, I've had a target on my back, therefore I should be making smarter decisions; and recently, I haven't." 

Later on during the week, the side piece was identified as Monique Gonzalez, a 27 year old travelling stripper. Shortly after, the plot thickened - a sex tape emerged, showing Kevin Hart in a hotel room with 2 women, allegedly having a threesome. It appeared as though, someone had put some hidden cameras in the room, unknown to Kevin. The website showing the video was later shut down - seems like Kevin and his lawyers were not playing when it came to legal action. 

Kevin was also been further threatened to pay a huge sum of money for a lie detector test about the whole situation. She later hired Lisa Bloom, the notorious lawyer which represented Blac Chyna and her mess with Rob Kardashian. 

In a press conference, she refused claims that she was a stripper and stated she is a recording artist. 

What's going on in the Hart family? 

They seem to be unbothered - or rather pretending to be. Kevin has been snap-chatting them the whole weekend and they are currently planning an animal themed baby shower, due to cost millions of dollars.

What's Trending? Kevin Hart allegedly cheats on his pregnant wife | R Kelly reportedly runs a sex cult

Okay guys, black men in Hollywood have been wildin' lately..

Kevin Hart allegedly cheated on his pregnant wife in Miami last night; seems like a passerby recognised him and took a video recording of the whole thing. See the video above. 

Soon as news broke out Kevin Hart took to social media to let us know he is unbothered and finds the whole situation hilarious. 

 OOP - looks like trouble in paradise for the couple. Are they even still together? Who knows. We will see as the drama unfolds further. Their marriage is less than a year old and such news is beyond worrying. 

I'm a firm believer in 'If you are not guilty then say you are not and let the world move on'. Ambiguity in statements or responses to alleged scandals always scream nothing but guilty to me. Such is the case with this next story; R Kelly's sex cult. 

I know I know.. just bare with us for a moment. 

From the times of 'age ain't nothing but a number - the hip hop and R'n'B scene should have known to keep an eye on legendary singer and song writer, R Kelly. 

Two families have come out to the media with claims that R Kelly is holding their college or university aged daughters hostage in a supposed sex cult. One of the girls, Joselyn savage, whom is apparently R Kelly's God daughter, was visited and interviewed by TMZ and she ended up both denying such claims and slamming her father for announcing such. It appears as though her father actually dropped her off to what is meant to be some sort of bootcamp, run by R Kelly to help the girls in their music career. 

Family members are worried he has turned it into something more sinister, by brain washing the girls. There are claims that he controls virtually everything they do - from eating to sleeping; they have limited access to their phones and have to face the wall when men are in the room. Additionally, it has been reported that the girls are instructed to perform sexual acts on R Kelly, which he records and shows to his friends.. talk about creepy!

Zoe Saldana, Nina Simone & the people

The Nina Simone Biopic trailer was recently revealed and her family are outraged by it!
Nina Simone is a late Jazz singer, pianist and song writer, who used her influence to promote blackness as an activist for her people.

She wrote songs like 'Mississippi Goddam', 'Four women' and 'To be young, gifted and black' which served as protest songs and she is mostly well known for.

She is a legend, whom it was hoped that an actress who shared similarities with her would be cast to tell her life story.

India Arie was originally thought to be perfect, but shunned by the producers.

Actress Zoe Saldana was chosen instead.

Here is a snippet from the trailer comparing Zoe to Nina Simone.

This situation has been causing controversy since 2012, when the casting was first announced.
However, it was reignited when Zoe quoted the late singer on Twitter and her Estate fired back.

I can't tell what is more offensive to people. The fact that there were more suitable actresses both physically and aesthetically that could have played this role. Or the fact that they gave Zoe a splash of melanin and a prosthetic nose to look more like Nina.

Either way, I don't like it.

From Bread Seller To Model - Amazing Story

This is the incredible story of Olajumoke Orisaguna, a 27 year old mother of two who walked onto the set of prominent photographer @TyBello in Nigeria. 

Tybello was taking pictures of British musician Tinie tempah, when a stunning lady hawking bread, unknowingly passed by and was caught in a shot. 

On publication of this photo, people kept asking who the lady next to the artist is.
Is she a model? Was this planned?

Of course she was not, and it most certainly was unplanned but TyBello decided to help her become one! He quickly searched for the lady with the help of those in the market area where he originally 'met' her. 

On finding her, makeup artists, hairdressers and stylists were rounded up. They met at the studio and within an hour created magic.

She is actually a natural! Her second child even joined her on set! So beautiful.
This morning, it was revealed she made it to the front cover of Thisday Style magazine! Incredible!

She is definitely gonna make it! Good luck to her, and I pray Gods favour reaches us all in the same manner!

A big congratulations to one of Nigeria's biggest On Air Personalities; Tolu Oniru, and now Tolu Demuren on her wedding! 

Popularly known as Toolz, she is loved by many Nigerians and so her wedding was bound to be a blast. The hashtag #TSquared2016 took over the whole of Naija Instagram and Twitter. The wedding colours were so beautiful and it seemed like everyone was bringing their A Game!

Real Scoop With Big Tipper

I was very excited to hear big tipper was hosting a show in Leicester, where i go to university. I took the opportunity to interview him on his success so far as a comedian. Here is the video as posted on my YouTube Channel:

I was pleasantly surprised to find that, although he is very well known, Tipper is beyond humble. He kept referencing God and his family life. Even in times of trouble, for example when he was naughty in school and got sent to Nigeria, he did not stay defeated. He came back, found his talent in comedy and made a new life for himself.

Dont sleep on big tipper. He gets booked almost every week. And from his latest video (Which i unknowingly featured in) he received a call from the MOBOs. I really wonder what was going on there. We'll just have to wait and see.

Video of the week: Ciara - I bet

This one is for the ladies ! Have you ever had an ex that's swears they don't want you, but soon as they see you happy they want you back? Especially when that happiness is coming from another guy? 

I know you can relate. CiCi really outdid herself on this one. The lyrics really touched me. Not in a 'I'm giving my life to Christ kind of way' but a 'yasss, hunny let him know ! ' type of way. "I bet you start loving me, soon as you see me with someone else; someone better than you'- Ciara never told a lie .. I loveeeee it!

The video uses beautiful Ballerina themes, from the outfits to the dance moves, to the character Ciara portrays. This is no English class, but I spotted a few subtle metaphors 👀. Ballet is art; a branch of dance that displays vulnerability and strength. At the same damn time. What other way to display the rising of a woman out of her once painful heartbreak. 

Pastel pinks, messy hair, a mini jukebox. All these background details scream young to me. This shows themes of reaching back into childhood. Let's not get to deep here but, sometimes for us women to move forward, we have to look backwards. Check our foundations. What did I love before I loved him? Who was I before we became us ?  

I wouldn't be surprised if some of the inspiration for this song came from her recently ended relationship with her baby father Future. "I love you but I won't be a fool for you". How many of us are bold enough to say this statement? Sometimes what we love is not good for us. Honestly, I love Ciara for reminding us of this!

What's Trending? Amber Rose vs The Kardashians vs Kanye West.

Well well well, we've all watched this week as celebrities have once again taken to social media to air out their discrepancies against each other. It all started on the break fast club when Amber was asked about the alleged relationship between Tyga(27) and Kylie Jenner(17). She stated 'She's 17; Shes a baby, she needs to go to bed at 7!' ... She went on to add 'in disappointed in him; he has a beautiful woman and child at home, he left that for a 16 year old who just turned 17'. Amber definitely didn't hold back and it was bound to upset a few people. Khloe Kardashian took to Twitter to stand up for kylie:

Her comments seemed fair, she simply didn't appreciate her family being talked about like that. But this opened up a HUGE can of worms. Amber Rose went from 0-1000 reallll quick !

Basically at this point the battle line was drawn; the two ladies went back and forth at each other. It was getting a little reckless and THEN Kanye West came and added his own two pence piece. He also went on the break fast club and basically clowned Amber; the woman he once loved.

He stated 'No woman, would wanna be with me when I was with Amber, I had to take 30 showers before I got with Kim'. In case you didn't get it, he was insinuating Amber Rose's Vagina smells. In the best possible way lmaoo.

So lets get into it... How would you describe your sound?

Hmm I'd say my sound is definitely Afrobeats mixed with a bit of R'n'B

So I heard about a 'Libra' project; can you tell us a little bit about that?

That's my new project called 'Sound of the Libra'; its a collaborative mix-tape / EP with myself and some other artists..

How's that going so far?

We've finished the project, now its just for promotion, shooting videos etc..

What kind of promotion have you done so far?

At the moment, we are looking for a distribution deal, we've used twitter, and we are also looking to record a 'day in the life of'' video

That would be nice.. So I know you've worked with Mista Silva and Star Boy wills.. whats your relationship like with them?

Well Starboy Wills is basically the other half of me, been working with him for a long time.

Mr Silva and I are cool, I remember I hollered at him a day before our ogede video, he came in; laid down a couple bars in studio. It was literally so quick.

So how will the features with Sona work, as unfortunately we know his situation..

Oh we've already recorded it, we're just contemplating on whether we are gonna do the videos 

Really quickly, when did you realise you wanted to do music?

I'd say when I was in college; so three-four years ago, that's where i met Starboy Wills..and I've loved it so far. Also, I've only recently started doing things properly as I've just finished university.

Alive or dead? | Controversy over Muna Obiekwe's current state.

Shocking news surfaced on 18th January  around 7pm on the Internet. Nollywood actor Muna was proclaimed to have died of kidney failure. Known for his many lead roles in movies, the talented actor's death caused heartache for his fans. Death time was 4:15am. His family was said to post this picture of them to prove his status.

However rumors surfaced that it was all a hoax. He is 'alive and well'. Tweets from his Twitter account caused even more confusion..

After delving further I found some more tweets suggesting his Twitter account was actually hacked. 

If truly someone hacked his account.. I can't begin to describe the level of disrespect that person has reached. In these hard times I hope people can respect his family and Muna himself as the deceased (as far as we know).
