What's trending? Zayn Malik leaves One Direction & Davido drops the hottest freestyle of 2015

This week has been hilarious. Young girls have been cutting their wrists because heartthrob Zayn Malik has left one direction. Nigerians have been covering their eyes in shame of our honourable freestyler aka Davido's recent appearance on Westwood Tv.

Personally, I have no real care for one direction nor who is in their group. But this really got to a lot of people. 

It is rumoured that Zayn was accused of cheating on his girlfriend, whilst on tour with 1D. I'm not sure what is defined as cheating these days but word got out he was holding a female's hand which was 'leaked' out to the public.

 I really don't get it, common hand holding had people saying he is not serious about his relationship. Anyway to prove his love for his fiancée, Zayn left the tour prematurely to be with her and sort things out. Real trooper. Extreme though. In my eyes ... 

That's if it was true. Zayn finally spoke out and simply said he wasn't happy anymore. According to him, the fame was forced upon him and he did 1D to make others happy. I don't know how I feel about this..

Will one direction ever be the same again? What do you think ? 

Now. Davido. Davido dropped a freestyle on Tim Westwood TV. A freestyle I'm not sure how to feel about. Just one question..

Can I laugh? 

I don't know how far I can make fun of him because I myself cannot freestyle. But seriously. It's not even the bars he dropped, it's the way he dropped them. He honestly looked like he wanted to exit the building, and each time Westwood reloaded the beat he looked even more stressed. 

But guys, in his defence it was out of his comfort zone. He is an Afrobeats singer? Not necessarily a rapper. If he doesn't write bars regularly how will he be able to freestyle. Major sighs.

"KA......HMM" has to be my favourite bar. The suspense created by the pause is really thrilling. Don't you get it? When your thinking, you take time no? Lol 

Davido will never live this down, but I love how he's laughing with us. Kudos to you Dave.

Video of the week: Ciara - I bet

                     Ciara - I Bet

This one is for the ladies ! Have you ever had an ex that's swears they don't want you, but soon as they see you happy they want you back? Especially when that happiness is coming from another guy? 

I know you can relate. CiCi really outdid herself on this one. The lyrics really touched me. Not in a 'I'm giving my life to Christ kind of way' but a 'yasss, hunny let him know ! ' type of way. "I bet you start loving me, soon as you see me with someone else; someone better than you'- Ciara never told a lie .. I loveeeee it!

The video uses beautiful Ballerina themes, from the outfits to the dance moves, to the character Ciara portrays. This is no English class, but I spotted a few subtle metaphors 👀. Ballet is art; a branch of dance that displays vulnerability and strength. At the same damn time. What other way to display the rising of a woman out of her once painful heartbreak. 

Pastel pinks, messy hair, a mini jukebox. All these background details scream young to me. This shows themes of reaching back into childhood. Let's not get to deep here but, sometimes for us women to move forward, we have to look backwards. Check our foundations. What did I love before I loved him? Who was I before we became us ?  

I wouldn't be surprised if some of the inspiration for this song came from her recently ended relationship with her baby father Future. "I love you but I won't be a fool for you". How many of us are bold enough to say this statement? Sometimes what we love is not good for us. Honestly, I love Ciara for reminding us of this!
